Meet Miriam Turner, LPC

I am a licensed professional counselor with a deep passion for supporting women, and their partners/families through transitions in life such as fertility struggles, relationship issues, postpartum, parenting, and peri/menopause.

I have 20 years of experience, including extensive training in trauma and loss, perinatal issues, women’s health/wellness and relationship struggles. I help clients process their experiences with compassion, providing a safe and supportive space to heal and grow. I see young adults, adults and couples in my practice.

I am certified through Postpartum Support International and currently serve on the Board of Postpartum Support Virginia. For six years, I facilitated first-time mom and baby workshops through Parenting and Childhood Education (PACE) and have completed over 150 hours of trauma training for clinicians, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

In my practice, I integrate cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused care, and mindfulness and self-compassion practices to help clients build resilience and regain confidence in their daily lives. I believe in the mind-body connection and work with clients to develop mindfulness-based strategies to reduce stress, manage anxiety, and process trauma. I am comfortable putting my “coaching” hat on to help you add to your toolbox for coping, navigating career transitions, and achieving your goals to live a more healthy life.

You deserve to feel heard, supported, and empowered. If you're ready to begin your healing journey, I would love to walk alongside you.
